Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Delhi liquor case on March 21 and was granted interim bail in view of the Lok Sabha elections by the Supreme Court on May 10, will thus have to return to Tihar Jail on Sunday.
Kejriwal has made fervent efforts over the last couple of weeks, to get an additional interim bail for a week on health grounds. The Chief Minister had also moved the vacation bench of the Supreme Court in this regard, but the top court had refused to pass an order and referred the matter to the Chief Justice of India. The Supreme Court registry had subsequently also refused early listing of the hearing.
