This first-of-its-kind experiment in Satara district is being implemented by the Mahabaleshwar Giristhan Municipal Council (MGMC). In this new initiative, digital screens have been installed at major intersections in the city to display environmental indices and information about government schemes.
The digital screens installed by the MGMC make information on environmental indices such as temperature, rainfall, humidity, noise intensity, and air quality easily accessible to residents and tourists.
Notably, information on polluting particles like CO2, PM 2.5, and PM 10 is also available on these screens. This will make it easier for tourists and locals to understand the quality of the city's environment.
