Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud on Saturday said that while Artificial Intelligence presented unprecedented opportunities, it also raised complex challenges.
He was speaking at a twoday conference on technology and dialogue between the Supreme Courts of India and Singapore. The chief justice said that AI was the "next frontier of innovation" and holds immense potential to transform the way legal professionals work, from enhancing legal research and case analysis to improving the efficiency of court proceedings.
He said that the launch of ChatGPT led to a conversation about whether to rely on AI in reaching a conclusion for a case, the CJI said.
