Ahead of the Union budget for FY 2024-25, chief minister Nitish Kumar-led JDU has stepped up its demand for a special package for Bihar so it could emerge as a developed state in the next five years.

Deputy chief minister Samrat Choudhary met union finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Delhi and discussed with her devise ways to accelerate the pace of Bihar’s growth and speed up the implementation of schemes.
