BK Birla Group-owned Kesoram Industries Ltd is in talks with Aditya Birla Group-owned Ultratech Cement Ltd to raise funds to repay debt, sources aware of the developments told Informist.

Both Kesoram Industries and Ultratech Cement belong to the Birla family.

As of now, nothing concrete has emerged; various options are being considered, a source said. Funds are needed in Kesoram Industries to repay lenders and also for operational reasons.

Kesoram Industries has a debt of 17-18 bln rupees.
