Local non-governmental organisations had also joined the forest department officials in their search for the big feline. According to the official, the forest department had laid two traps and the leopard entered one of them. The entire ordeal of the leopard’s capture and it being taken away by forest officials was captured on a video that went viral on social media.
The forest department will conduct a health checkup of the feline before releasing it into the wild, the official said.
