Not wanting to let go off a golden opportunity to take on the ruling Mahayuti government, the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi has announced a protest march in Mumbai on September 1; a state-wide agitation will ensue the next day.

The three leaders slammed the government, accusing it of gross corruption in the construction of the Shivaji statue. Instead, the Mahayuti government was coyly pointing fingers at the Indian Navy for the crash, it was pointed out.
