Construction has kicked off on a 5.15 km six-lane elevated corridor aimed at easing traffic congestion along the Porvorim stretch of National Highway 66. The project, which commenced in midApril, carries a deadline of 24 months, with an expected completion date set for April 2026.
The elevated corridor, spanning a single row of 86 piers and 87 spans, will provide a much-needed relief to the heavy vehicular movement experienced in the area.
Notably, the construction is being spearheaded by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) with an estimated project cost of Rs 634 crore.
