Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday paid a surprise visit to the family of Amit Mann, a youth from Haryana's Karnal, who sustained critical injuries in a truck accident in the US.
According to reports, Rahul was received by Gharaunda Congress candidate Virender Rathore on the Delhi-Chandigarh national highway at Ghogripur village at 5 am. Amit illegally migrated to the US via "donkey route". He drove a truck for a living and met with an accident there. Rahul met him and his friends during his recent visit to the US and promised to meet his family back home.
