To ease their pain, some good samaritans and NGOs have stepped in to make the winter a bit warmer. For instance, Mohammed Ibrahim Akram, who runs a chain of restaurants in the city, has been contributing winter wear and blankets. "So far, our team of 10 volunteers has distributed 200 blankets among the needy across the city," he stated.
According to Ibrahim, a destitute person even passed away due to persistent health issues after struggling in this cold.
