A PLYMOUTH businessman is today embarking on his seventh aid trip to Ukraine, this time joined in convoy by a truck carrying food and medicine for an animal shelter inundated by dogs left stricken by flooding.
Andreas Evangelou has undertaken six previous trips for humanitarian work over the last 18 months, with tonnes of donations delivered in caravans which have also been left so they can be used as makeshift homes and even a mobile medical unit.
This time he is being followed on the road by Maksym Litvinov, a Ukrainian who has had to flee because his Kharkiv home was destroyed and who is now staying in Plymouth.
