The 27-year-old was only a peripheral figure as Steven Schumacher’s took the League One title with a remarkable 31 wins and 101 points.
Just as he has done so far this month, Miller excelled in the pre-season games for Argyle in 2022 and had the Green Army excited about what he was capable of. However, in the final training session before the first league game, Miller suffered a torn thigh muscle and he was out for more than three months.
That was the first of three spells on the injury list for Miller, who was restricted to just seven starts and five substitute appearances last term.
Miller had also had fitness issues at his previous club, Rotherham United, which was perhaps one of the reasons why they were prepared to let him leave them in May 2022.
