A PLYMOUTH family who feared they would lose their baby girl after she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease before she was even born say she is proving doctors wrong.
Little Aaliyah, now nine months old, has to travel to Bristol four times a week for treatment. keeping her mum, Siobhan Sharrock, 26, and dad, Christopher Evans, 34, very busy – but the family say the Lighthouse Ward at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children saved Aaliyah’s life.
Siobhan’s sister, Nadine Davies, is now taking on the challenge of running the Plymouth Half Marathon to raise money for Wallace and Gromit’s Grand Appeal, which supports the hospital.
