A NEW nightclub has opened in Union Street with the promise of bringing a little of Las Vegas's bright lights to Plymouth. Bosses at Republic have splashed nearly £100,000 on the latest LED video screen technology to make the club the most modern in the South West.
With 3m-wide wall-mounted screens, and others on the ceiling, Republic's owner Mark Fernando said the club is on a par with top attractions in Ibiza and Las Vegas. He said that despite the demise of Pryzm and other nightspots in the city, Republic's future is as bright as the displays on the screens because it is offering revellers the most up-to-date clubbing experience available.
