A GROUP of nine Plymouth women were left stranded and crammed into a tiny hotel room in Spain after a trip to celebrate a 30th birthday ended in chaos.
The group were booked onto an easyJet flight scheduled to land at Bristol Airport at 1.50am yesterday, but due to the NATS Air Traffic Control systems failure, affecting UK airspace, their flight was disrupted.
Nadine Leach had organised the trip to celebrate her birthday with eight of her friends and flew into Alicante Airport on Friday, August 25.
But their flight was disrupted by the NATS Air Traffic Control systems failure, which has seen thousands of passengers delayed and stranded, with warnings the disruption could last for days.
