Centre's cool idea to help hot dogs

WHEN the heat is on, a pet rescue centre in Plymouth is turning to some seriously cool solutions.

Staff at Gables Dogs and Cats Home have been working hard to keep their four-legged residents cool during the hot weather and have decided the time has come to install permanent air conditioning units in their kennels.

As hot weather and heat waves are predicted to be here to stay, the temporary portable air conditioning units they have been using are not an option long term and not costeffective.

New units will also have the added benefit of providing heating during the winter months.
