A PLYMOUTH rugby team that's one of the few charity-based teams of its kind in the UK is providing an inclusive place for players to get involved in the sport. The friendly rugby club also prides itself on being a fun and supportive environment for all involved.
Team Endeavour Punishers formed in 2016 with ex-forces members involved, including one of the main people behind the idea, veteran Richard Rochester - known as Roch. The majority of the rugby team is made up of military veterans, however Team Endeavour welcomes all wheelchair users.
There are currently about 20 members and the club is always looking for new members to join them. William Eddy is Director of Rugby at Team Endeavour Punishers, he is an ex-serviceman who was medically discharged in 2015 after serving in the RAF for 16 years.
William, 42, said: "Since leaving the military, there's always that something missing. It was a big part of my life. It's hard when you come out after a life-changing incident. Your world gets chucked upside down. When I found the rugby club, it was like being back in the military again.
