Coco arrived at Woodside Animal Welfare Trust on the outskirts of the city with another dog, who tragically did not survive.
The two dogs arrived together over a month ago after the death of their owner and quickly became ill. The two little dogs were having fits and immediately received emergency care. However, Woodside has confirmed that Coco’s friend’ died despite the best efforts of staff at the animal shelter.
Coco is now recovering but is not yet ready for adoption. As a result, Woodside has urged people who can spare 5 a month to donate this money to help Coco and other dogs like him.
In the social media post, Woodside wrote: Canine alcohol withdrawal, a first for us.
