FORMER Lord Mayor Brian Vincent is to be posthumously honoured as an alderman by Plymouth City Council.
Cllr Vincent died in April at the age of 73 and now a special resolution has been put forward to award him the status of honorary alderman at the council’s annual meeting on Friday, May 19.
The resolution will be proposed by leader of the new Labour administration Cllr Tudor Evans. It will acknowledge and appreciate the eminent and distinguished service delivered by Cllr Vincent who served the city for more than 24 years.
