A SALTASH gastropub is set to close its doors at the end of September, just months after being taken over.
Head chef Lee Calver took over The Croft in February this year, after being given the opportunity to make the venue his own.
The pub and restaurant says the venture was a "short-lived dream" for Mr Calver, an ex-Royal Navy chef, who is now set to take on a new restaurant in the Plymouth area. The Croft says the new venue will allow Mr Calver "to focus on fine-dining food again". It has not yet been revealed which restaurant Mr Calver is taking on.
