THE family of a young Plymouth mum are desperately trying to raise funds for life-saving treatment, after she was diagnosed with cancer and a rare autoimmune disease with her cousin promising to run three marathons in three days among the efforts.
Josie Hasan was diagnosed with stage 3c metastatic melanoma after her husband, Laith, spotted a mole on her back had changed earlier this year.
The mum-of-two was put on an initial plan of four rounds of immunotherapy, but after the first week started to suffer from side-effects and was hospitalised. She experienced difficulty with swallowing, vision, breathing, and was suffering with extreme swelling and fatigue.
