Family scene as deer feed in city back garden

A WOMAN from Plymouth has captured a magical photo of a family of fallow deer which stopped off in her garden for a feed.

Karen Hounslow shared a beautiful picture of deer grazing on some grass on social media, adding "my afternoon visitors". She said, when she took the photo last Sunday, one stag, four females, and two fawns were in her garden.

Although Karen said she sees the four-legged visitors most days, it was unusual to see both male and female deer together. A fallow deer is an elegant, medium-sized deer, with a typically spotted coat.

The males have broad, palmate antlers. They also typically live in small herds and are identified by their characteristic black and white tails.
