PLYMOUTH Hoe will be the backdrop to the city’s sparkling fireworks display on Bonfire Night this year.
Bonfire Night was set to be removed from the events calendar as part of last year’s budget savings unless a sponsor was found.
But a sponsor has been secured and it was announced at Cabinet on 11 September that the event is returning this year as a one-off, as part of the council’s effort to support residents through the cost of living crisis, and the ‘fun for free’ strand of its Cost of Living Action Plan that has developed in order to support the health and wellbeing of residents.
