From pop up market stall to high street shop

A PLYMOUTH dessert shop has been so successful in the city that it has branched out into Cornwall. Mega Shakes, which already has a takeaway shop on Raleigh Street in the city centre, has opened a second store in Truro this week.

Lisa Bennett, who founded the successful business with her former partner, Aaron Ponting, has now gone out on her own by launching a dessert store in Cornwall.

The new shop, which opened on October 22, features a menu of fully customisable desserts and ‘mega’ shakes, with ingredients from Hershey chocolate and Kinder Bueno to Mint Aero, Biscoff and Oreo.
