PLYMOUTH City Council is making plans to ensure it can meet the future adult social care needs of local residents. The Council is set to extend its current contract with residential care homes across the city for a further year, so that residents continue to receive the care they need.
This will allow time for a review of existing services and the creation of new plans to futureproof the local care industry for those that need residential or nursing care. The current contract was due to end on December 31, 2023, but will now be extended for another year.
