IAN FOSTER RESPONDS AFTER ANGRY CRITICISM FROM ARGYLE SUPPORTERS
CHRIS ERRINGTON
'I GET THE FRUSTRATION, I GET IT, I DO'

IAN Foster has declared he will continue to work hard to turn things around at Plymouth Argyle, amid calls for him to be sacked by sections of the Green Army during and after the 1-0 defeat by Preston North End.

The Pilgrims have now lost their last four games at Home Park, and without scoring a goal in any of them, and the fans' frustration spilled over as many of them voiced their unhappiness with Foster. The 47-year-old has been in charge for just 12 Championship matches since being appointed in early January but a worrying run of results has seen Argyle drop to 18th in the table, just two points clear of the relegation zone.

Foster said: "I get the frustration, I get it, I do. If they want to turn the frustrations onto myself that's fine. Does it help? Not really. It doesn't help me, it doesn't particularly help the players either because we are all one team.

"If you look back to January you are in the running for manager-ofthe-month. Halfway through March they want you sacked. Is that football? Perhaps it is. Is it fair? I'm not sure it is to be perfectly honest.

"But look, the supporters pay their money and they have every right to voice their opinion. The only way we can turn things around is by winning games of football. and I get that.

"One thing I can assure supporters is that we are trying desperately hard to do that, and you can see the from the players in terms of their attitude and application throughout the game.
