TWO officers from Devon and Cornwall Police have been handed bravery awards for their fearless efforts confronting the Keyham gunman.
Hosted by the Police Federation of England and Wales, and sponsored by Police Mutual, the annual Police Bravery Awards honour the bravest of the country’s dedicated police officers for displaying outstanding commitment to their role protecting the public while on or off duty.
A total of 28 police officers from eight regions were awarded for exhibiting exemplary acts of bravery in the line of duty. They were selected from amongst 102 nominations – including a police dog – from 39 police forces in England and Wales, and many attended the ceremony held in London last week.
Among the recipients were Devon and Cornwall Police’s Road Policing officers, PC Zachary Printer and PS Graham Temple, who were crewed together on the evening of August 12, 2021.
