Rwandz Restaurant at the top end of Cornwall Street is named after Rawanduz – a city in the Kurdistan region of Iraq.
Owner, Mahdi Mohammed is originally from Rawanduz, but has now made Plymouth his home. The 39-year-old set up the city centre restaurant in March this year and customers rate the food served as “fabulous” and “delicious”.
Food is prepared swiftly to order in the open plan kitchen at the back of the spacious restaurant – and there’s plenty of menu choices. Mahdi is hoping to extend seating into the street in the coming months.
