Missing woman: Body found

EMOTIONAL tributes have been paid after the body of a young woman was found in Plymouth on Tuesday.

Devon and Cornwall Police had been searching for 24-year-old Lacey Lake when they discovered a body in Tamerton Foliot.

Officers were called to Linton Close at around 1.20pm but the woman tragically died at the scene.

Although police said formal iden- tification is yet to take place, Lacey's family have been informed of the development.

A desperate appeal was launched after she was reported missing from the Stonehouse area of Plymouth. She was last seen getting into a grey Mercedes vehicle at around 6pm last Friday (January 3).

A tribute on Facebook thanked people for their support. It said that Lacey was "loved beyond words".
