Mumba hoping to mark his milestone with win

It is an impressive milestone for the 22-year-old to reach and extra special because it will come against the club where he began his career, and for whom he holds the record of being their youngest ever captain. Mumba has been a crowd favourite since first joining Argyle on a season-long loan from Norwich City in the summer of 2022, and then completing a £1 million transfer in July 2023.

On the prospect of clocking up a century of appearances, Mumba said: “I’m very happy about that, it’s a big moment for me. This is the first time I have done 100 for a team. Some of the boys are saying ‘You are in the 100 club’. It feels good. I look at it as a massive achievement. That’s why I’m proud to reach 100 games.”

Mumba, who has made a total of 81 starts and 18 substitute appearances for the Pilgrims, is grateful for the backing he has always received from the Green Army.
