STEVEN Schumacher thought a combination of too many errors and not enough attacking quality contributed to Plymouth Argyle's 2-0 defeat by Lincoln City at Home Park yesterday.
The Pilgrims' boss also sensed there was tension among players and supporters as his promotion-chasing side fell behind by two goals and then rarely looked like being able to fight back.
Like in their 3-1 come-from-behind victory over Morecambe on Good Friday, Argyle trailed 1-0 at the interval to Lincoln after a 28th minute goal from Olamide Shodipo.
However, Lincoln then extended their lead in the 47th minute with a low strike from Ben House and there was no way back for the lacklustre Pilgrims from that.
Yet it could have been so different had Argyle top scorer Ryan Hardie scored from a tremendous one-onone chance with Lincoln goalkeeper Carl Rushworth approaching the midway point of the first half rather than having his shot saved.
