The £48m Project Vahana programme was set up to provide nearly three dozen crucial small boats to the Fleet and its bases.
Now it has been completed, with the final four craft handed over at Devonport. The Fleet Hydrographic and Meteorological Unit (FHMU) were recipients of the first boat in Project Vahana in the form of Devonport-based HMS Magpie - and now are the last to receive a series of new craft to support survey operations.
