NEW VENUE OFFERS THREE EXPERIENCES

Nightclub promises to be 'heaven'

PLYMOUTH’S newest nightclub opened its doors on Saturday in a very familiar building.

The Sawan club launched in the Vauxhall Street unit which has housed the Thirst, Play, Planet, Hanging Gardens, OMG, and, most recently, Club Cassius nightspots.

But Sawan owner Dean Gilbert said the venture will be unlike any other nightclub in the city – not least because it will open in the afternoon.

He said: “We will open at 3pm for cocktails and to 2.30am or 4.30am on Friday and Saturday. We are going to open every day apart from Monday.”
