CROWDS gathering on Dartmoor on Saturday night resulted in "absolute chaos" on the roads.
One witness said there were long queues of traffic being slowed down by cars parked up on both sides of key roads.
After Friday's spectacular display of the Northern Lights, seen from Plymouth and across the South West, there was a second opportunity to see them again on Saturday night, when visibility was affected by an "extreme" geomagnetic storm heading towards Earth.
