It seems quite ironic given that Portsmouth, just a ferry ride away from Gosport, also had floodlight issues on Tuesday forcing their Championship match with Millwall to be postponed. But Parkway boss Chris McPhee is hoping to get the game on with the hosts requesting kick-off is brought forward to 2pm.
"We are just trying to work out if that is something we can do or not and leave at 7.30am instead of 8.30am," McPhee said. "My secretary messaged me and asked me if I'd be happy with that, so I am looking at the implications of that and whether the players would be happy with that. Otherwise, it ends up being postponed and we end up having to go back on a Tuesday night and there are loads of things that come into that.
