Plans to improve park and ride
The Herald|September 16, 2023
PLYMOUTH hopes to improve the city's park and ride provision so it operates seven days a week, with buses every 10 minutes. The scheme is part of the refreshed Plymouth Bus Service Improvement Plan which is under scrutiny this week.

Plans to improve park and ride

The plan aims to deliver bus services that "people need, can be proud of and enjoy using". The vision is to create a thriving bus network with services that are frequent, reliable, fast, affordable, safe and clean, which will also help Plymouth to achieve its net zero goals by 2030.

One of the measures to try and ensure this happens is to improve the park and ride offer. The eventual plan is a seven day a week operation at a 10 minute frequency so that passengers know they can just turn up and go whenever they like.

Plymouth currently has three park and ride sites - Coypool, located by the A38 Marsh Mills Roundabout, The George, situated on the A386 Tavistock Road, and Milehouse (607 spaces), near Home Park. A fourth site - near the A38 at Deep Lane - is planned for the future.
