MULTIPLE victims in a mass shooting in the United States state of Alabama were caught in the crossfire at a popular entertainment district in the city of Birmingham, police said.

Four people were killed and 18 others were injured in the shooting late on Saturday evening on Magnolia Avenue South in the city, Birmingham police officer Truman Fitzgerald said.
