Sorinola has had only limited first team opportunities since joining the Pilgrims last January after leaving Belgian club Union St Gilloise, and earlier this season he was not even getting into the matchday squads, let alone playing in any games.
However, Argyle's continued injury issues, combined with the team's recent poor performances, have led to Sorinola getting the chance to show what he can do.
Sorinola has started the last three Championship matches - the 2-0 defeat at Oxford United, a 2-2 draw with Bristol City at Home Park and the 0-0 stalemate away to Stoke City on Saturday - and played at right wing-back in the past couple.
