THOUSANDS of athletes took to the streets of Plymouth yesterday for Britain’s Ocean City Running Festival.
There was a choice of half marathon, 10k and 5k distances, as well as the Primary Schools’ Challenge.
Jacob Landers, from Saltash, who runs for Tamar Trotters, won the half marathon for the second year running in one hour and nine minutes. His teammate Mike Wilsmore finished second. In third place was independent runner Thomas Wraight, just ahead of Oliver Oldfield, another Tamar Trotter, who was fourth.
Clive Ramsden won the 10k in 36 minutes, followed by Tom Howell in second and Jacob Robinson in third.
