PLYMOUTH Argyle's players had far from ideal preparation for their first away Championship match of the season against Watford as they travelled by train.
An earlier cancelled train, coupled with overcrowding on the next one, meant that when the squad set off on their journey from Plymouth station on Friday the players had to initially stand in a carriage or sit on the floor.
Enough seats were eventually found but, nonetheless, the trip from the south west did not go as smoothly as Steven Schumacher had hoped.
Argyle had decided to travel by train because they had a horrendous journey by coach to their pre-season away game against Blackpool, which was much delayed by heavy motor-way traffic.
