THE world’s last seagoing paddle steamer is set to visit Plymouth.
Waverley will make her highly anticipated return to the South West this week, from Thursday to Monday, September 2.
It will be Waverley’s first official visit to the region since the late 1990s and includes the first paddle steamer sailings from Penzance, Plymouth, and Falmouth this century. The famous paddle steamer will also make her inaugural sailing from the Cornish town of Fowey.
On Friday this week, Waverley will make a grand return to Plymouth, after a trial visit last October. She will be participating in the Catte water 150 celebrations to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Cattewater Harbour.
