Whatley's mammoth checkout bettered a 115 from team-mate Nick Coles in the Cherry Tree derby match that ended 6-5 to Whatley's A team over their B side compatriots.
Paul Hoare's 90 combination out shot gave him the only moment of magic for his defeated team, who did fight back from 6-1 down to make the scoreline respectable.
Runaway leaders Tradesmans had Alec Turner (29.47) in majestic form during his 3-0 singles win that contained legs in 15 and 17 darts to round off an 11-0 win over Octagon B.
Simon Washington (27.83) was also as equally impressive with a 3-0 win of his own coming with best efforts of 17 and 18 darts.
Legs in 15 and 17 darts helped Jaden Whitting to a 3-1 triumph, whilst Scott Wapshott's win by the same scoreline came with another 17-darter for the rampant champions.
A 140 checkout by Wapshott also contributed to his success over Jayden Dodd, who himself netted a leg in 18 of his own.
Wapshott also knitted together a fruitful partnership with Lee Agar in the doubles phase as a formidable duo added a 19-darter over the 601 distance during their 2-0 win.
In the scoring phase of play, Agar dominated proceedings with a 15 ton-plus haul that included one of the six maximums.
Whitting and Turner both bagged themselves a brace of maximums, whilst the final maxi went to Dodd's team-mate, Chris Edgecombe.
Agar was supported well by Washington throughout, who himself ended his night on 13 tons, whilst Fred Goldsmith added ten tons to the cause.
Kelvin Rowe heard calls of a ton or more 12 times after throwing to lead Victory to a 10-1 success over Bluebird B. Rowe was supported well by Darren Collis, who put two 180s onto his ton total that reached 11 three-figure visits.
The top scoring player for the defeated team was Dale Halford, who ended his night on ten tons, but Halford fell in the individual phase by a 3-2 scoreline to Collis, who helped himself to crucial 16 and 18-dart legs.
