Formula-E case: KTR asked to appear before ED on Jan 7

THE Enforcement Directorate has summoned BRS working president and former minister KT Rama Rao to appear before it on January 7 for questioning for alleged violation of Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) in transferring funds to the organisers of Formula-E race event.

The agency has also summoned Arvind Kumar, former principal secretary, MAUD, and BLN Reddy, former chief engineer, HMDA, on January 2 and January 3 respectively.

An Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR) was registered by the ED under various sections of the PMLA, taking cognisance of a Telangana Anti-corruption Bureau (ACB) FIR filed against Rama Rao, Arvind Kumar and BLN Reddy for their alleged involvement in the misuse of public funds to the tune of ₹55 crore.
