The crime was committed by three people, Prabhu Mahto, Parmod alias Babu and Mohammad Shamsul, on October 11. All of them have been arrested by the police after three weeks of investigation.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (southeast) Ravi Kumar Singh said they received a call on October 11 about a woman, wearing a red kurta and bleeding near Sarai Kale Khan.
A team rushed to the spot and found the victim. Soon, she was taken to a hospital for medical examination where she disclosed that she had been sexually assaulted. It was also learned that the victim was mentally unstable.
