Will Go On Hunger Strike Over Water: Atishi Writes To PM

In her letter, Atishi emphasised that on May 29, Delhi experienced an unprecedented temperature of 52.9 degrees Celsius, and even on the following Tuesday, temperatures reached 47 degrees, remaining at 41 degrees at 10 PM.

She said the cnational capital is grappling with a water crisis since Haryana is not releasing the capital's share of water and claimed that over 28 lakh people are affected.

"Delhi has not faced such extreme heat in the last century, exacerbating the need for water among its residents. However, despite this heightened demand, Delhi is currently facing a severe water shortage, causing widespread panic," she said.
