Protest Against SilverLine Rail Project Survey Completes 1,000 Days

The protest that began against the survey for the SilverLine semi-high-speed rail corridor project (K-Rail) in Kerala at Madappally in Changanassery and spread across the state against the government's attempt to suppress it through police action completed 1,000 days.

As part of the completion of 1,000 days of protest, a meeting was organised by SilverLine Action Council in Kottayam on Monday. MLA Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan inaugurated the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, Thiruvanchoor said the SilverLine project has caused difficulties for thousands of people since the survey work started. "The people are able to sell their land and avail bank loans by pledging it," he said.
