A POLICE inquest on Saturday revealed bruises on the body of Induja, a newly wed woman who was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her husband's house in Elavattom near Palode.
The inquest was conducted at Nedumangad District Hospital under the supervision of tahsildar Saji S. The body was then shifted to the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital for further examination.
Meanwhile, Induja's father Sasidharan Kaani says her husband Abhijith and his mother are behind his daughter's death and has demanded that murder charges be filed against him.
A tribal woman, Induja got married to Abhijith from another caste, against the wishes of both families three months ago after a two-year relationship. Induja's family alleged that Abhijith's mother was against the inter-caste marriage.
