DAYS after the government introduced the 'One Nation One Election' Bill in the Lok Sabha, BJP MP PP Chaudhary was appointed chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to scrutinise the bills.

DAYS after the government introduced the 'One Nation One Election' Bill in the Lok Sabha, BJP MP PP Chaudhary was appointed chairman of the Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to scrutinise the bills. The Bill proposes to conduct simultaneous elections to the Lok Sabha and state assemblies across the country.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla constituted the 39-member committee and appointed Chaudhary, a former Union minister of state for law and justice, as its chairman.
