A day after the house in voice vote passed the resolution on restoration of special status to Jammu and Kashmir, the proceedings in the state Assembly on Thursday were action-packed.
The House witnessed protests, sloganeering, scuffles, exchange of blows and marshalling out of some agitating BJP members by ward and watch staff of Assembly.
Meanwhile, six members including 3 PDP MLAs have moved a fresh resolution on immediate restoration of Articles 370 and 35A.
As the House met in the morning, Speaker Abdur Rahim Rather allowed the Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma to speak.
Sunil termed the resolution on restoration of J&K's special status passed by house yesterday as "totally illegal and unconstitutional", and accused the Speaker of bringing disrepute to the House.
It set off protests from the treasury benches amidst sloganeering, "J&K ki Awaz Kya, 370 Aur Kya".
