KTR takes a dig at BJP over Maharashtra

Says BJP’s much touted double engine govt was a past and now it was promoting triple engines fitted with washing machines

Taking a dig at the BJP after the national party engineered another split, this time in the NCP after Ajit Pawar took oath as deputy chief minister in Maharashtra and joined the BJP-Shiv Sena government in Maharashtra BRS working president KT Rama Rao said that the Saffron party’s much touted double engine government was a passe and now it was promoting triple engines fitted with washing machines.

The BRS, looking to expand in Maharashtra by taking advantage of the vacuum due to the political upheaval caused by the split in Shiv Sena and NCP is keenly observing the goings-on in the government and political alliances.

The BRS working president KT Rama Rao today wrote on Twitter that “Apparently double engines are outdated. Now it’s the turn of triple engines powered by washing machines.”

The BRS leader was taking a swipe at the BJP for raising issues of corruption against so called dirty politicians from Opposition parties but accepting them wholeheartedly when they joined the BJP.

The jibe was also aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi who often talks of “double engine” governments in poll rallies promising development and better government if there are BJP governments both at the Centre and the state.
